Since the beginning of March 2010 Michael Nugent has held an interim appointment as Head of Strategy, Performance and Development for the Safer Birmingham Partnership (SBP).  SBP is the among the largest community safety partnerships in England and Wales, with a wide-ranging and varied programme of work designed to sustain Birmingham's position as the safest of the eight core cities in England.

During the late Spring of 2010 Third Sector First began a retrospective review of Monmouthshire's Cymorth programme, continuing and building on work that began in 2003.  The purpose of the current study is to assess the performance, achievements and future potential of services currently funded through Cymorth, to ensure that the best features of discretionary children's and young people's services are sustained if, or when, funding becomes tight.

Family Links is a registered charity that has designed the Nurturing Programme to promote emotional literacy. The programme is being delivered in four adjacent Welsh local authority areas (Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport and Torfaen) as part of the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) Flying Start initiative. Supported by grant aid from WAG, the local authorities have commissioned a three-year evaluation of the Nurturing Programme. Third Sector First supported the commissioning process and continues to act as a 'critical friend' of the commissioners.
